1 May 2010: Donnelly Museum Official Opening
The Lucan Area Heritage & Donnelly Museum in Lucan, ON, will hold its official Grand Opening on Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 2-5 p.m. with the first public exhibition of the reknowned Ray Fazakas Donnelly and Lucan Area Collection. 1 May 2010: Forest City Feis
The Forest City Feis, the finest Irish dance and music competition in eastern Canada and the north eastern U.S.A. takes place on Saturday, May 1, 2010 in the Progress Building at Western Fair Raceway, 316 Rectory St., London ON. 12 May 2010: Celtic Christianity Ecumenical Service
The monthly Celtic Christianity Ecumenical Services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at St. Paul's Cathedral in London ON. This month's service features musical guests The Saugeen Sacred Harp Singers. Service begins at 7:30 p.m. and is followed by a free ceilidh and performance from 8:15 to 9:30 p.m. Admission and parking are free. For more information contact Rev. London Irish Folk Club Monthly Meetings
The London Irish Folk Club meets at 8:00 p.m. on the last Friday of every month at the Duchess of Kent Legion, 499 Hill St., London ON. Membership is $10 per year and includes monthly updates of events, reduced fees at art classes, workshops and concerts, and "anything else we can think of."
Members of the LIFC play various musical instruments, sing and dance. Interested in having us come to your facility or special event? Give the LIFC a call. Have an instrument you don't know how to play? Call us and we may be able to find you a teacher. LIFC Tune Books are available from Jeanette (members $12.00, non-members $15.00).
