Celtic Irish Academy
The Celtic Irish American Academy is an international summer school for American, Canadian, European and Irish high school students. Our aim is to enrich and strengthen Irish connections in young people and to help guide them into becoming future global leaders and changemakers.
The Irish Benevolent Society, with support of the London Irish Canadian Cultural Society, is proud to once again sponsor two local high school students to attend the Celtic Irish American Academy in Galway, Ireland.
This is more than a trip — it’s a life-shaping experience.
Last year, we sent three students, and every one of them returned with glowing stories:
stories of new friendships, deeper confidence, pride in their heritage, and a whole new perspective on the world. Parents noticed the change. The students felt it themselves.
The Academy offers teens a unique blend of:
Irish culture, history, and identity
Leadership and personal growth
Independence, confidence, and global awareness
Friendships that stretch far beyond the summer
For many, it’s their first time travelling internationally without family — and for some, their first real connection to Ireland. The result? Young people who come home more self-assured, inspired, and excited about what’s possible for their future.
